By
seeing the results of their collaborative efforts shining
back through the eyes of elated underprivileged children,
your team members will walk away from our PERFECT Programs
with a newfound desire to be not only better coworkers but
also better people. These programs are unlike any other
team-building training currently available. Read on and
you’ll see the profound impact and meaning these events
create…not only for your participants but also for
the fortunate children who benefit from them.
Why
PERFECT?
The acronym arose from the response we received time and time again
from interested participants when we described these programs
to them. Almost invariably, the conversation concluded with
an exclamation of “That’s perfect!” We
couldn’t agree more. When it comes to instilling a
shared sense of goodwill, trust and charitableness among
team members, our PERFECT Programs are the consummate team
builder.
What
are some of the benefits of your PERFECT Programs?
Aside
from the laughter and happy tears they elicit from underprivileged
youth, our PERFECT Programs exact the same positive changes
in participants that a long-term community service project
does. Numerous studies have shown that participation in
service activities uniquely develops an individual's leadership
skills, sense of community, self-esteem and other personal
characteristics. These personal benefits are the type that
will extend back into one’s place of employment and
far beyond.
What
type of time investment is required for participation in
your PERFECT Programs?
All of our PERFECT Programs involve a ‘product building’
simulation. While the benefits they produce are immeasurably
enduring, they are designed to be run in a 4–6-hour
timeframe.
What PERFECT Programs do you offer?
Building
A Dream –
Unbeknownst to program participants, our Building A Dream Program
entails building and then giving away of bicycles to underprivileged
children. It is conducted in conjunction with Bike for Tykes, a non-profit dedicated to giving bicycles to children.
By combining the creation of a powerful learning opportunity with
a desired outcome – leadership, communication, teamwork,
collaboration, etc – you receive a magical experience that
will never be forgotten.
Unity Drumming -
Uniting, unifying and Inspiring, our Unity Drumming combines the power of a group synergy to bring out the best in everyone.
With a surprise 'customer' visit, a group of children who have learned to drum in a separate room, the group first performs for the 'customers' and is surprised once again when they find they are also there to play with them.
The
Angel ? Perhaps our most flexible
PERFECT Program, The Angel Program can be tailored to fit
around almost any envisioned corporate event.
Throughout the course
of our Angel Program, participants earn individual points,
with all vying to become the ultimate ?winner.? Unbeknownst
to them, however, the scores each of them is achieving are
to be combined, with each point equivalent to one dollar.
Each collaborative dollar
earned then goes toward making an underprivileged child?s
wish come true. In larger events, participants are introduced
to the child whose wish they have just fulfilled, making
it a truly unforgettable event for everyone involved.
Care
Carts ? Our Care Carts Program is designed specifically for the healthcare
industry. During this program, participants are divided
into groups that must collectively build their own push
cart. They are told that special awards will be handed out
to the most imaginative.
What they do not know (and never seem to ask!), however, is what
the carts will be used for upon completion. The points
team members earn for their creativity are ultimately cashed
in for toys and games, enough to stuff their carts to overflowing.
It is only then that participants discover the byproducts
of their collaborative efforts are to be given to the children’s
wards of a local hospital.
Puppet
Theater ? During our Puppet Theater Program, participants are charged
with crafting both their own puppet and a team-effort backdrop.
They must then devise a two-minute, family-friendly skit
that makes use of their handcrafted puppeteering.
What they’re not told, however, is that their audience
will be comprised of after-school program participants.
Once they get past their task grumbling and the skit has
been played out, each child selects one of their puppets
for him- or herself, with the backdrop being donated to
the after-school program.
